When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when [they are] doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.

Short Biography

We are all captains of our own ships sailing uncharted waters; it’s my job to offer support, empathy, and a sounding board as you make your voyage. Facing change is difficult, but it can be a little easier with someone walking alongside you. Let’s find the right path for you and get started.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a client-centered, trauma-informed approach inspired in large part by Carl Rogers’ work. I believe that healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our authentic selves. I also rely on principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility and live authentically. My approach is supported by training in Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavioural, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.

Educational and Professional Background

I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Saskatchewan. I have six years of experience counselling in a rural not-for-profit setting. I earned my Master’s Degree in School and Counselling Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2019 and my Bachelor’s Degree at Concordia University in Montreal. Prior to counselling, I filled a number of support roles in foster care and post-secondary settings and honed my people skills working retail.

If you’re ready to begin your journey, I’m here to support you.
