Counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, work stress, relationship concerns, trauma exposure, or burnout.
Counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, work stress, relationship concerns, trauma exposure, or burnout.
Many adults come to counselling when they are carrying more than they can easily hold alone. You may be experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, shame, burnout, relationship strain, work stress, or a transition that has left you feeling uncertain.
Adult counselling at Horizon is collaborative, respectful, and evidence-informed. It is a process of understanding what is happening, identifying patterns, strengthening coping, clarifying values, and finding ways forward that fit your life.
Our counsellors may draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, compassion-based approaches, and narrative therapy, depending on training, fit, and client needs.
The approach is always adapted to the person. We pay attention to your goals, context, strengths, relationships, culture, and preferences.
Horizon may not be the best first step for situations requiring immediate crisis response, frequent between-session support, or court-mandated services. When another service would better meet your needs, we aim to communicate this respectfully and clearly.
