or do your inner work for you,
doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.

Short Biography

I believe in coming alongside you to work with your unique strengths and empower you towards living your best life. Our sessions will include validation, mindfulness, self-exploration, listening, and developing skills for coping and thriving. My goal is for you to feel empowered and capable of making and maintaining positive change in your life. I’m here to provide a safe space to help you learn and work through whatever it is that you’re facing.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, accepting and empathetic, culturally sensitive, and curious. My areas of focus are trauma, anxiety, depression, identity and self-esteem, conflict and boundary setting, and relationship development. I have experience working with clients through cultural issues, such as life transitions and change, loss and feeling displaced, and identity struggles. I also have experience with assessing and working through suicide ideation and self-harm in adolescents. Depending on my client’s needs, I employ evidence-based interventions from Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Gestalt, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Professional Background

During my Masters I practiced at the Abbotsford Ministry of Children and Family Development in the Child and Youth Mental Health department where I supported underprivileged children, youth, and their families.

I also hold a Bachelors of Education and a Canadian teaching license. I have been teaching for over 7 years now cross-culturally and in Canada. As a teacher, I specialize in elementary and early childhood education, special needs education, and English language learning. Personally, I grew up as a third culture kid in China and have been an expatriate my entire life, so I have a deep appreciation and love for culture and growing in community with others.
