When we are no longer able to change a situation,
we are challenged to change ourselves.

Nancy is not accepting new clients at this time. Please feel free to book with other available counsellors.

Change can be difficult. I’m here to be attentive to your journey.

The change that is needed might be in your environment – to find and build a community of support. It may also mean a renewed perspective to view the challenge in another way, or perhaps and opportunity to learn from others and yourself.

Varied life experiences shape each of us and provide perspective on our understanding of the world and the web of relationship we develop. I think the search for meaning and purpose is a continuous journey.

I will work alongside you. Together we can create a space of safety where you can ask questions and explore your world.

My Approach

Existential-humanistic therapy is my theoretical home. I draw support from Narrative, Solution-Focused, Family Systems and Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) therapies. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. I am interested in hearing the cultural shaping of one’s story and how these developed constructs can play a role in a person’s experience of feeling stuck.

Professional Background

I am a Registered Psychologist (Provisional) practicing under supervision in the area of counselling psychology with adolescents, adults, and couples.

I completed a Masters of Counselling degree and hold the Canadian Certified Counsellor certification with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I also completed a Masters of Divinity degree and hold the Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner certification with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care.

Before joining the Horizon team, I was providing mental health support for members of the Canadian Armed Forces. I have been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for over two decades and recently received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal (SK) for dedication and loyal service to the community.
