My Approach

I approach each assessment as an opportunity for clients to develop a deeper understanding of how they think, learn and understand the world around them. I place emphasis on personal strengths and how they can be utilized to best support learning and behaviour. I provide psycho-educational assessments to individuals at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels. Upon completion of the psycho-educational assessment, I thoroughly explain the results and provide a report with evidence-based recommendations tailored to best support each client’s unique profile. When needed, I assist clients and families in accessing outside agency supports.

My areas of practice include: Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Deficits in Attention, Giftedness, Anxiety, Deficits in Executive Functioning, and technology as an accommodation for students with learning difficulties.

Professional Background

For the past decade, I have been a Registered Psychologist for the Prairie Spirit School Division (PSSD), with a focus on psycho-educational assessments and consultations.

Prior to working at PSSD, I provided counselling to young offenders through the John Howard Society in Kitchener, Ontario, conducted research in technology and learning through Wilfred Laurier University, and was the Project Coordinator for the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada & CAMECO Chair of Women in Science and Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. I am currently a member of the Disciplinary Committee for the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.

I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Toronto. In 2013, I became a full practicing member of the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. I hold Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) that allows me to provide a diagnosis to my clients, when appropriate.
