I believe that a different therapy must be constructed for each patient because each has a unique story.

I offer my clients a safe and comforting space to open and engage in guided self-reflection. I enjoy helping them discover unique personal strengths to overcome barriers, attain balance and mental well-being.
My Approach
My theoretical perspective is integrative. I believe in a more flexible approach, one that addresses my client’s most pressing issues, builds on their strengths, and moves them towards their goals. I strongly believe that a client will obtain the best results when therapy is tailored to their situation and personal preferences. In my approach, I use elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, humanistic therapies, and mindfulness-based approaches. I integrate evidence-based practices in all of my therapeutic work.
Professional Background
My training has been focused on assessment and counselling for teens, adults, and aging clients. I provide treatment for anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, sleep difficulties, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I also practice in the areas of grief and loss, stress, major life transitions, and relationship concerns. Other areas of my professional interest include neuropsychological assessment, cognitive assessment, psycho-educational assessment, and aging.
Aside from my clinical work in private practice, during the last several years, I have served in both community and academic positions. I worked as a clinical consultant to the Catholic School Division in Saskatoon. Supporting youth’s mental health in this position was a deeply rewarding experience. I have also taught psychology courses at the University of Saskatchewan as a sessional lecturer, and took part in several research projects focused on aging and health. Teaching and research work inform and inspire my clinical practice.
