The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
My approach to counselling is person-centered and holistic. I also use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness and solution-focused approaches depending upon the client’s needs. My training and experience in education, psychology and in mental health, has provided me with a wide array of knowledge and approaches for helping others. I believe in focusing on your strengths and helping you to learn new skills to help build resilience so that you can use these tools throughout your life. The approaches that I use are evidence-based and they focus on learning and development.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists with Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), which allows me to diagnose autism and developmental delays. My areas of practice include clinical, counselling and educational psychology. I have worked in a community organization for the past 22 years in the area of early childhood and parent consultation. I also worked in my own private practice for 5 years with adult clients.
