Starting counselling can be stressful especially if it is a new experince for you. No matter what your reasons are for seeking therapy, you will be more comfortable if you know what to expect.

During the first session your therapist will typically ask questions about you and your life. This will help to clarify the situation and circumstances that brought you to counselling. You can expect to be in a safe and supportive environment, where you will be listened to.
