“I see therapy as a safe place for my clients to heal, learn and grow.”
I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. I have more that 10 years of experience in the mental health services and education field with adults, teens, and children. I was decribed as a caring and engaging professional, who makes clients feel comfortable and supported. Most of all, I enjoy helping people overcome challenges and realize their inner potential.
I am passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma, loss, divorce/separation, and recent changes in life. I am also well experienced in areas such as suicidal ideation and self-harm, anxiety, depression, and behavioural problems (aggressive, impulsive, oppositional and sexual behaviour problems).
I hold authorized practice endorsement and provide comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments that help my clients discover their unique strengths, needs, and practical strategies for well-being and growth. It is very rewarding to offer my clients tools for optimizing their learning, work, and relationships.
Theoretical Approach: I am a humanistic therapist at the core. My approach combines person-centered, existential and classic gestalt therapies. I also use elements of dialectical behaviour (DBT) and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural therapies (TF-CBT), mindfulness and solution-focused approaches, depending on my clients’ needs. I rely on academic research in psychology, education, and neuroscience to offer my clients everyday concrete tools for health and happiness.
